SELFguarding's Mission

To empower and nurture as many UK children as possible in developing their own sense of self, with integrity, and accountability in their life journey.

To empower them to create better and safer outcomes for themselves and others in those environments.

To give young people the knowledge and confidence to feel at ease in their chosen path. So, they can dedicate all their time in developing their skills.

What SELFguarding offers

SELFguarding offers young people a chance to educate, empower and protect themselves within different environments, enabling them to pursue their chosen path safely and with confidence.

Once ‘The Hayley’s Course’, is completed young people will be better equipped for their chosen profession and have a sense of freedom to decide their own journey.

SELFguarding will then provide a badge and an online certificate you can print.

Also, in acknowledgement of completion, a handbook will be given to continue to support young adults journey.

The Hayleys Course

Our Online Course (The Hayley Course) Will be available soon!

SELFGUARDING THE COMMUNITY

The Aims Of SELFguarding

Our aim is to introduce a new step in preventing abuse happening to children and young adults by minimising the occurrence and need for rule-based safeguarding protocols. It does this by equipping people with the appropriate tools to spot and report inappropriate behaviour, in a safe and child-friendly manner.

We introduced a new way of thinking about safeguarding – to help prevent abuse within environments that deal with children and young adults. By taking one of our programs, you will be equipping yourself with the appropriate tools to spot manipulative and inappropriate behaviour – and giving you the confidence to speak up, report and de-escalate such behaviours.

One

To protect children and vulnerable young adults, using a cultural approach that supports existing guidelines and legal approaches.

Two

To make SELFguarding programs a part of school’s curriculum and for places that deal with young adults.

Three

To provide teachers with the tools and resources to teach a cultural approach.

Four

To encourage young people to be more aware of their environments, so they can help adults help them stay safe.
